We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Accountant to join our finance team. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for providing financial leadership and guidance to the organization, overseeing accounting operations, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the accounting team, providing guidance and support to junior accountants
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
  • Manage the general ledger, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and other financial accounts
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Prepare and review complex financial reports, including variance analysis and budget vs. actual comparisons
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial information
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  •  Provide financial guidance and support to management in making strategic decisions

Job Skills & Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years in a senior or supervisory role
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and regulatory requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and accounting software such as QuickBooks or Accpac
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong leadership and management skills

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Experience with financial planning and analysis tools, such as budgeting software
  • Knowledge of financial modeling and forecasting techniques
  • Familiarity with financial reporting software
  • Experience with compliance reporting requirements
